Hairs and Pumpkins -- Oh My!
Hi, and I hope your start of the school year has been fabulous! I just launched my 21st year of teaching, and no, I didn’t wear my octopus tank top to the first day — but I was certainly tempted. Enjoy today’s illustrated lessons, and feel free to be in touch.
1. Hair or Hairs? Or Hare?
On the request of an ESL teacher who sees this issue pop up frequently, I was delighted to draw illustrations to explain the difference between the usage of hair vs. hairs — including idioms that use both. Does that cartoon make you want to dye your hair purple, too?
2. Pumpkin Drawing!
September has started, and thus my Halloween drawing ideas are taking off! One of the most popular ones has always been this jolly orange fellow: the easy pumpkin drawing — replete with a time lapse video lesson. I hope it helps your harvest season art projects.
